What will my session look like?
This is entirely dependent on the student. Some students are visual learners, others need to know every little detail to understand the big picture, and others struggle to catch their breath as they attempt to understand complex and foreign subject matters. At Mentorship Tutoring we customize each student’s academic plan such that no two students’ sessions look the same.

​Check In – Typically occurs at the beginning of a session and is used to gauge student’s comprehension of the current material, update the tutor about upcoming exams or recent grades and answer any major questions.

Practice Problems – One of the best ways to test a student’s competencies and prepare them for exams is to practice the very content that will be examined. This can consist of classroom supplied worksheets or tutor supplied practice questions and scenarios.

Study Guide Building – Sometimes students struggle to see how everything comes together and it can be a world of difference to have a helping hand. I will help your student prepare a document containing everything that they need to know to Ace their exam.

Organizational Skills – Some students see the big picture and understand the content, but once they get to College it finally hits that you can’t pass without studying for your exams. As a student I learned this early on in my college career and developed strategies and organizational frameworks that can help any student succeed.​
